- Appointment of Head of Group Risk Management -

Glacier Group (‘Glacier’ or ‘the Group’) the European insurer and reinsurer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andreas Zdrenyk as Head of Group Risk Management. Based in the Group’s headquarters in Pfäffikon, Switzerland, he will report to Glacier Group CEO Robbie Klaus and take responsibility for enhancing the Group’s enterprise risk management.

Andreas has over 25 years’ experience in the European and North American re/insurance industries, where he has developed a broad spectrum of skills. He joins Glacier from SCOR, where he was COO of SCOR Holdings (Switzerland) AG and the SCOR Global Property & Casualty Division. Prior to this, he spent nearly a decade at Converium Holdings AG and Zurich Re, respectively, in various positions such as CFO, COO and CIO. He was also a member of Converium’s Global Executive Committee.

Before joining Converium, Andreas spent 16 years at Winterthur Swiss Insurance Group. At Winterthur he held a variety of senior roles, including Head of Internal Audit and Financial Controller of its North America Division. He holds an MBA from Cox School of Business and a Masters degree in Information Systems and Information Technology.
