Glacier Insurance makes senior underwriting appointments in London

- Greg Dawson and Tim Woodhouse join growing London team -

Glacier Insurance AG (“Glacier Insurance” or “the Company”), the European insurer, today announces the appointment of Greg Dawson as Senior Aviation Underwriter and Tim Woodhouse as Senior War & Terrorism Underwriter. Both are based in the Company’s London office.

Greg Dawson has over 25 years of experience in aviation insurance. He began his career at Pearson Aviation Syndicate 271 where he held a variety of positions, latterly Syndicate Deputy Underwriter. He joined GE Frankona in Munich in 2001, moving to London in 2002 to lead GE’s new general aviation initiative. The team became part of Swiss Re after the acquisition of GE Insurance Solutions in 2006.

Tim Woodhouse has over a decade of experience in the London market. He began his career in 1997 at Gammel Kershaw (later GoshawK), where he was Assistant Marine Underwriter. He joined Wellington in 2000, and was promoted to the role of Terrorism, Aviation War and Marine War Underwriter in 2002. He joins Glacier from Marsh, where he was Vice President, Terrorism.

Glacier Insurance was founded in November 2006 and has grown significantly since inception. It began operations in London in March 2008. The Company also operates from Cologne and Liechtenstein and is part of the Glacier Group.
