Appointment of Senior Property Underwriter
Glacier Reinsurance AG (“Glacier Re”), the European reinsurance company, has appointed
Dr. Luzi Hitz as Senior Property Underwriter.
Dr. Luzi Hitz joins Glacier Re after ten years at Swiss Reinsurance Company (“Swiss
Re”), where he was most recently Head of Treaty Underwriting, Greater China Region,
for Swiss Re Hong Kong. He previously held various positions in the company, including
Catastrophe Risk Manager for Asia Pacific region in Hong Kong and Head of Earthquake
Modelling at Swiss Re’s head office in Zurich. Prior to Swiss Re, he was an Oil
and Gas Exploration consultant for IHS Energy.
