Glacier Insurance appoints Tim Hofmeister as Managing Director, Germany

Glacier Insurance AG (“Glacier Insurance” or “the Company”), the European insurer, today announces the appointment of Tim Hofmeister to the role of Managing Director, Germany. He will be based in the Company’s Cologne office and will report directly to the Chairman and CEO of Glacier Insurance, Robbie Klaus.

In his new role, Tim will assume full responsibility for the team in Cologne, writing Property, Casualty and Specialty Lines. He will continue the development and expansion of Glacier Insurance in Germany. Glacier Insurance expects the employee base in Cologne to more than double within the next year.

Tim Hofmeister succeeds Lothar Riedle, who is no longer with the company. We wish Lothar Riedle all the best for his future career.

Tim joined the Glacier Group as Senior Underwriter when Glacier Re established underwriting operations in January 2005. He was appointed Group Risk Manager in 2006. Prior to joining the Glacier Group, he spent six years at GE Frankona in Munich in leadership roles in underwriting, claims and business development. He began his career in 1992 at Allianz in Hamburg.

Robbie Klaus, Chief Executive Officer of the Glacier Group, commented:

Glacier Insurance was founded in November 2006 and has grown significantly since inception. The Company operates from Cologne, London and Vaduz and is part of the Glacier Group.
