Glacier Re appoints Doris Pöpplein as Specialty Treaty Underwriter

Glacier Reinsurance AG (“Glacier Re” or “the Company”), the European reinsurer, today announces the appointment of Doris Pöpplein as Specialty Treaty Underwriter. Doris will focus on Aviation, Space and War & Terrorism reinsurance business. She takes up her post on 1st August 2008 and will be based in Glacier Re’s Head Office in Pfäffikon, Switzerland.

Doris has a decade of experience in the reinsurance industry and joins Glacier Re after three years at ACE in London where she worked in the Outwards Reinsurance department. Prior to this, she was employed at GE Frankona in Munich, where she held the role of Aviation Treaty Underwriter.
