Appointment of senior underwriters

Glacier Reinsurance AG (“Glacier Re”), the Swiss reinsurance company, has appointed Dirk Turley and Tim Hofmeister to the position of Senior Underwriter. Tim takes up his position with immediate effect and Dirk will join Glacier Re on 1st March 2005.

Dirk Turley joins Glacier Re after 14 years with GE Insurance Solutions in Munich where he has gained substantial experience in Non Marine, Marine and Aviation underwriting. Most recently, he was Underwriting Manager for the Marine & Energy Re Division, responsible for GE Insurance Solutions global team of Underwriters in Munich, London and New York.

Tim Hofmeister also joins from GE Insurance Solutions. Tim started his career with Allianz in Germany before he joined GE Insurance Solutions during 1998. Tim’s areas of expertise include Claims Management as well as Underwriting. Most recently he was the Aviation excess of loss Underwriter with responsibilities for writing and leading aviation treaty business, risk analysis and financial planning and reporting. He has 15 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance with both GE Insurance Solutions and Allianz.
