Glacier Reinsurance AG
Appointment of Senior Underwriter
Glacier Reinsurance AG (“Glacier Re”), the European reinsurance company, has appointed
Franco Masciovecchio as Senior Underwriter. He takes up his position immediately
and will assist in the development of Glacier Re’s Property and Energy portfolio.
Franco Masciovecchio has over 17 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance
industries and joins Glacier Re from Swiss Reinsurance Company (“Swiss Re”) in Zurich,
where he was most recently Vice President within the Financial Services Business
Group acting as Senior Underwriter and Account Manager for Industrial and Energy
Business. Prior to joining Swiss Re in 1996, he was an Account Manager and Underwriter
at General Re, also in Zurich.
Mr Masciovecchio holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of
Business.
